My Story

This is Jeremy Christian Galiel Cayax Galindo, and I am pleased to share my updated information with you. Before starting, let me tell you that my mom helped me write this letter for you. I am a healthy 15-year-old boy, and I am enrolled in eighth grade at school again. My best friend’s name is Jireh. We have been friends since we were children. We love playing soccer. Let me tell you that I visited such a beautiful tourist place called Panajachel alongside some of my relatives on my father’s side a while ago. When they invited me, I felt a lot of joy and gratitude. I did not expect it! I am sure that God took care of me during the trip because I could spend a lovely moment with them.

I am close to my mom and stepfather. I love them because they are nurturing and teach me good values. Therefore, I kindly ask you to pray for my family because we are passing through a challenging economic situation. Unfortunately, my stepfather was suspended from work by the Guatemalan Social Security (IGSS) because he had surgery on his right index finger some months ago, due to an accident he had with his motorcycle. He works as a messenger. He told me that the motorcycle chain pressed his finger. My mom is the only one who supports our family financially. She is healthy and makes a living by cleaning houses.

My stepfather and she invested part of their income in our house reconstruction, but they had to stop because of our current situation. Despite the ups and downs, we have learned to thank God. We trust that everything will move forward with His help. I am so happy because Jesus is my Savior, and my family and I attend a Christian church called The Holocaust for the King. To end this letter, let me tell you that my biological father helps me a little economically when he can. He continues working as a motorcycle taxi driver. Until next time!

Kind regards,

Jeremy Christian Galiel Cayax Galindo
