My Story

It is my pleasure to send my greetings through this and I hope our Lord is taking care of you! My name is Maria Valentina Hernandez Lopez. I am a 14-year-old girl. I attend 5^th grade and I receive my classes on the morning shift. I usually help with the housework. My father works as a day laborer to sustain our family. Meanwhile my mother sells tortillas in the market on Thursdays and Sundays; she also does the housework. Additionally, she raises hens for selling and also for our food. My father is sick with diabetes and thankfully, he is taking medicines to stay under control. Because of that, I want you to pray for his health and for the rest of my family.

It is exciting for me to receive a Christmas gift in the feeding program. I thank God for allowing me to be registered in the Living Water program and receive my food for free which is a great help for me and my family. My favorite food from the program is fried chicken because they prepare it delicious. My family and I are members of the Church of Christ; my parents have Jesus in their hearts. We appreciate that an evangelism teacher shared the gospel and encouraged us to continue seeking God. Let me tell you that my mother gave this information to the LW staff to share news about me.
