My Story

Hello! My name is Debora Mishel and I greet you fondly, hoping you are having a fantastic day wherever you are. I want to share my last news with you, so I hope you find this engaging. As you know, I have lived with my aunt since my mother passed away and my father abandoned me. We attend Ebenezer Church on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. My aunt, Claudia Jesenia Giron Alvarez, is 45 years old. She makes a living by selling fruit juices on the market to support my cousins and me. She is the only one who covers our family needs. She does her best, but her income is barely enough to cover all the expenses, including school. What we need the most is school support and having a new bed. As for health, let me tell you that I suffer from uric acid and polycystic ovary. Fortunately, I am under medical treatment. Besides those issues, I have had vision problems. I need to visit the ophthalmologist and get new glasses. The rest of my family is in good health, fortunately. I am seventeen years old, and I am studying the first year of a training in science and arts with an orientation in computation.

I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I understand the teachers’ explanations much better. I would love to become an architect and speak English someday. Since my mother died, I have not been able to enjoy holidays or seasons of the year as I used to because those remind me of my mom. Therefore, I would love to ask for your prayers so God heals my heart from sadness. The only day I feel loved and nurtured is when my birthday comes because my aunt makes my day unique. I love drinking Coca-Cola and my favorite sport is basketball. Taking advantage of this, I want you to know that LW is a tremendous blessing for my family and me. Thanks to many good-hearted people like you, the staff blesses hundreds of needy children and teenagers like me. An AAC member talked with my aunt to collect all this information for you. I say goodbye to you for now, but I pray the Almighty blesses you bountifully.

In the name of Jesus,

Debora Mishel Rosales Granados
