My Story

It is a blessing to greet you through this letter. I hope you are having a lovely day alongside your loved ones. This is your friend and sponsored child, Esther Esmeralda Guadalupe Chan Mateo. I am 13 years old and my favorite pastime is playing football with my friends on weekends. I am in fifth grade this year. I attend school alongside my young sister on the morning shift. My favorite food is refried black beans. Let me tell you that my mom had an accident on a motorcycle a few months ago. She had to undergo surgery because her arm was broken. Today, she is recovering and takes medicine if she feels any pain. We are going through a hard economic situation because my mom is not working now. Therefore, I ask you to pray for provision and the recovery of my mom. In advance, thank you so much. My mom just established a new relationship with Mr. Angel Aguilar. Currently, he lives in our house and helps us economically. He makes a living by painting houses. As for my biological father, let me tell you that he works as a merchant to survive. However, he does not help us economically.

I have one brother and one sister. My brother, Moises, does not live with us because he lives with my father. Fortunately, we spend time together at church. My grandmother has taken us to Restauration Christian Church for one year. A member of the LW evangelism team visited and shared the gospel with me recently. That made me happy because I could hear more about Jesus and his commandments. Let me tell you that your loving support through LW-Adopt A Child has blessed my family and me with food. I would like to help the staff at the feeding program as a collaborator. It would be an engaging experience. I say goodbye to you now, but I thank you so much for blessing me with a lovely Christmas time annually.
