My full name is Luisa De La Cruz Ajqui, and I am so happy because I know you are reading my information. How are you doing? By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 13-year-old girl. I get along wonderfully with my sister. Her name is Laura, and she is my best friend. We enjoy talking about our lives in our free time. I am in fourth grade again, but I am doing my best to have success at school. I have seen God’s fidelity in my family all the time. As proof, we have not lacked food. Jesus is my friend, and I pray for my father’s healing. About one year ago, he started to suffer from cramps and pain in his left knee. The doctor prescribed an expensive medicine, which he could not buy. Luckily, he is much better thanks to a vitamin shot that he gets at the pharmacy, but that is only when he has a lot of pain.
Today, my father makes a living as a day laborer and farmer in our village. He also works on coffee farms at the coast from November to February. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy at home taking care of my siblings. Luckily, they are all healthy. I identify with my mother because she is very patient. She occasionally works as a day laborer for our neighbors to help with the expenses at home. We are members of a nearby Christian Church. The activity we enjoy the most at church is the anniversary celebration. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my father helped me share this letter with a member of the LW staff, so you could hear about my life. I send you huge hugs, hoping to hear from you soon.
Cordiality yours,
Luisa De La Cruz Ajqui
