Praise the Lord that I am able to write you this little story about my family and me and I hope you enjoy reading it. I am Marvin Rogelio Gutierrez Calachij. I am grateful to God for his blessings upon my whole family. My parents and I are in good health. I had a sad experience in my life because I failed my grade last year. Now I am repeating the 6th grade, but I feel the presence of God in my heart and I know he is helping me and looking after me all the time. I am doing my best because I want to pass the grade this year. For me, Jesus is my God and he gives us life. I identify with my sister Magdalena because we play together at home and we spend a nice time together. Marvin Calachij is the name of my best friend and we play soccer together. Our friendship has been for many years. I am a 13 year old teenager. 

My family and I are members of the Prince of Peace Church and I like to participate in special services at nights called vigils and celebrate the anniversary of our church. My mother is assured of her salvation in Jesus and she helped the LW team to collect this information. She continues weaving typical clothes to sell and earn some money. Her name is Luisa Calachij Morente and my father`s name is Camilo Gutierrez Garcia. As you know he lives and works in the United States. At the moment, he earns a living by working as a farmer and he sends us money every month to cover our home expenses. He also calls us. My parents are a hard-working couple and I love them.
