My Story

Hello! My name is Gafur Sofi. I am 61 years old. My birthday is on March 20^th . I live by myself in a very old house in Dunica, Upper Mokra. This is a remote mountain area. The paths can best be walked on a horse or mule. I have to walk to my house up to the mountain for about one hour. I have never been married. Speaking about my health, I am deaf mute. I can only communicate with signs. I have two brothers who live close to me and they look after me. I am jobless. I spend a lot of my time in the village, just to have people around me. Because of my health situation, the government gives me a monthly assistance, which covers only very few of my needs. I don’t grow anything around my house, and I don’t have any livestock. I depend on the help of other people, like my brothers. But this help is very limited.The Adopt a Child team gives out food packages which contains items like rice, oil, sugar and pasta, food that can be cooked at home and serves 10 to 12 meals for the whole family. I am very thankful to the food packages and to Living Water. Thank you for taking care of the people of Dunica spiritually and practically.May God bless you!
