My Story

Hello! My name is Anila Piperi. I am 42 years old and my birthday is on September 15^th. I am doing well generally in my health, but I have issues that I have to solve with medicine such as blood pressure or anxiety. I live in Pogradec, in an old flat, where we own an apartment. Even that our apartment is not offering very nice conditions, I am thankful I own it and I am not paying rent. My husband passed away years ago and since after this time, I have decided to stay single and live as a widow. I have four children, two sons and two daughters. My oldest son is now trying to find a job, after finishing his schooling. Job opportunities here are very limited and he is working here and there as part time, but he is not earning as much and I am providing for him the rest. One of my daughters, has autism. I am not able to work because I need to stay in the house and care for her needs. She is receiving a small pension being with this illness and I bring her to a caring center for people with this type of illness. She spends only a few hours there and during this time, I do the housekeeping, cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc. My other two children are well regarding heath and they are in primary school. Three of my children are registered in the program and benefit from the help Living Water gives to us. I am able to come as well and bring my two children to the Bible classes. We are very challenged financially and I receive a small amount as assistance from the local government. The amount is small as it doesn’t cover even the bills for water and electricity. We are thankful to the church of Living Water in Pogradec for the support and to the Adopt a Child program who faithfully provide food for our family. God bless you!
