My Story

Hello, my name is Edgar Wiliam Luis De León. It is pleasure to greet you through this short update. I hope you are doing well as you read this. I am happy to be able to share some information with you. I am eleven years old now. I am in fifth grade this year. I have a best friend named Domingo. We have been friends for four years. We love playing soccer together. My family is doing well, thankfully. My mom’s name is Luciana De León Simaj. She stays home and raises our animals. We have chickens and pigs, and she sells them to make some extra money for our family. I have one brother and one sister who are in the program as well. My dad’s name is Esteban Luis Gutierrez. Unfortunately, he passed away five years ago. This was the hardest and most sad thing that ever happened to me and my family. We have so many memories of him. I was so sad when he died, but God helped me during this time, and He is still helping me. Thankfully, my uncle helps us out now financially. His name is Alberto Luis Barrera. He is 35 years old, and He works as a farmer. He also drives people around and transports packages for people. This is how he makes money so he can help cover our expenses. He does not live with us, but he has been a huge blessing to us in this time.

He is very important to me because he teaches me about what he does and how he does his work. I learn a lot from him, and I love spending time with him. My family goes to church at Prince of Peace New Covenant. We love going to all the services, especially the special thanksgiving services and the anniversary services each year. We have Jesus in our hearts as our Savior and Lord. We are so grateful for the blessings we receive from the program at Living Water Adopt-A-Child. We receive a good plate of food and access to the clinic without cost. It is such a blessing to me. I pray God will touch your heart to sponsor and make a huge difference in our lives.
