Widow/Widower
Hello, it is a great day to say hello to you and tell you a little bit about my life. My name is Manuela Ventura Ordonez. I was born on September 17, 1953. I am 71 years old. I was born in Chichicastenango, Quiché. I am a widow. My husband passed away 14 years ago. I have 7 children, two sons and five daughters. Only one of my daughters and her husband help me and they cover my expenses. From time to time, my other children ask me to come to their houses to eat with them. Actually, I live with my daughter Lucia Ignacia Ventura and my son-in-law Tomas Macario. My son-in-law works as a waiter in a restaurant. My daughter works as a weaver and seamstress. Sometimes, I sell fruits or vegetables. I buy them and then resell them to earn some money. I suffer from pain in my back, especially in my shoulders. Sadly, I have not visited any doctor because my economic recourses are low. I ask for your prayers for God to heal me.
I am a member of the Liberty Church which is part of this Ministry. We live in my son-in-law’s house. The house has four rooms, and I use one of them. We have a separate kitchen. It is made of adobe walls, tin sheet roof and corn. Thanks to God, we have running water and electricity, and my daughter and my son-in-law pay for them. At home, we have some hens and dogs. We are a family with many needs and some of them are groceries, medicine, clothes and corn. I pray for God to provide for us always. I walk around 20 minutes to get to the feeding program. Thank you very much for reading my letter. I send you many blessings.
In Jesus name,
Manuela Ventura Ordonez
