Pasojoc III
Guatemala
Child
Pasojoc III, where your child lives, is located in an extremely remote area of the mountains in Quiche, Guatemala. Life in this area is very difficult and very isolated from the outside world. It is a 3-hour walk to the nearest market town. The people who inhabit the area are Quiche Mayans who can trace their ancestral roots to the ancient Mayan civilization. They normally speak a Mayan dialect called Quiche, however, Spanish is becoming more common. The climate is basically warm, but it can get very cold at night. Houses in this area are typically constructed of adobe with tin sheet or tile roofs and dirt floors. Pasojoc III is an area rich with natural resources. It is a farming area where the inhabitants grow staples such as corn, beans and other types of vegetables. Many families also raise domestic animals such as sheep, goats, cows and chickens.
Hello! this is Edy Jeferson Eliseo Tino de la Cruz and my birthdate is June 27, 2021. I was born in Joyabaj, Quiche and I am a four years old child. I am in good health. I am not studying yet due to my young age, but I stay at home and I play soccer. Green is my favorite color and I love cats. I enjoy eating fried chicken. I walk only three minutes from my house to the Feeding Center along with my mother. At the moment we are not attending any church. I live under my mother`s care because my father, Jorge Tino Alvarez, abandoned my family three years ago and he is not in communication with us. My mother`s name is Isabel de la Cruz Gutierrez and she is in good health. She earns a living by weaving typical clothes to sell and she also raises and sells hens because she is the only one that supports me financially. Our current needs are groceries.
Fortunately, we live in our grandfather`s house, and he and my grandmother live with us. We have three rooms and a separated kitchen. The house is made of adobe walls, tin sheet roof and dirt floors. We have electricity and we get water by a hose from a nearby river. We pay the electricity service once a month. We have sheep and hens, but we would like to have some chicks because there is enough space at home for them. Thank you for your attention to my personal information. Have a nice day!
Kisses and hugs,
Edy Jeferson Eliseo Tino de la Cruz
