Zacualpa

Zacualpa is a small but busy village in a mountain valley. The village is inhabited by both Quiché Indians and Ladinos (those with mixed European ancestry). The prevalent language is Spanish. Families in this village live in one or two room homes generally constructed of either wood or adobe. Although many of the people are farmers, the village contains several small specialized stores, a body repair shop for buses, mechanics, plumbers and many other small-town tradesmen. It also has a large open-air market which serves much of the area. Even with all of this, the poverty level is very high and the children are very needy.
This is Eliette Sofia Garcia Natareno and I hope you are blessed by our Lord Jesus when your read my little story. I was born in San Pedro Sacatepequez, Guatemala on November 3, 2020. So, I am 4 years old and I am in preschool. I like to play with dolls and toy dishes at home. I love doves and my favorite color is pink. I enjoy eating fried chicken. I am a healthy girl. I live in my grandmother`s house and we have one room with a separated kitchen. We share the house with my grandmother and one aunt. The house is made of adobe walls, tile roof and cement floors. We have running water and electricity and my mother and grandmother pay for those services. We also have dogs, one cat and one dove as our pets. We would like to have some chicks at home because we have enough space for them.
My mother`s name is Madelin Guisel Garcia Natareno and she is a single mother. I do not know anything about my biological father because he did not recognize me legally, so I only have my mother`s last name. I have one brother, but no sisters. My mother works hard as a day laborer and washing clothes for others in order to cover our family expenses. In addition, she does the housework. She is the only one that sustains the family financially and she is in good health condition. We are a humble family and our current needs are groceries. My mother accompanies my brother and me to the Feeding Center and we walk twenty minutes to arrive there. As a family, we are not attending any church. I hope you like to read my news and I send you a bunch of hugs!
In Jesus’ name!
