My Story

Hello! My name is Markos Dragoj. I am 19 years old and my birthday is on August 20^th. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is black and my future dream is to become a Police officer. We have a cow and I feed it every day and I work together with my father and mother in our land. We live in the village and deal with agriculture. Summers are very busy and there is a lot to do in the fields. Our land is far and we have to collect the products from the land and bring them to our house little by little. During the year, my parents plant beans and I help them a lot to collect the beans. Trebinja is a remote area among the mountains and we have no activities for youth. During the evenings, my friends and I gather and stay for a while in the center of the village and there we speak and share. Very rarely we can travel with the minibuses of the village to go to the town. I go there only when I have a special needs, such as to buy groceries, clothes, etc. I have in my family three persons. Our house offers appropriated conditions to us. I have a sister who is matured and who is not living with us. She has gotten married. We own land in the village and during the past year my parents have planted what is needed as food consumption for the cow. We benefit milk, cheese, butter, etc. Every year, my father sells a calf and uses the income to provide whatever is most needed for our family. My mother plants vegetables in our garden and we have provision of tomatoes, beans, onions, etc. These products, we consume without having the need to buy in the shops. We have a few fruit trees around our land and garden. My mother collects the fruits and makes jam or fruit juice for consumption during the winter and she is also caning vegetables. I am in the program and from Adopt a Child, I receive spiritual and physical care. We live with low income and I am very thankful from my heart for all your help. God bless you!
