My Story

Zacualpa is a small but busy village in a mountain valley. The village is inhabited by both Quiché Indians and Ladinos (those with mixed European ancestry). The prevalent language is Spanish. Families in this village live in one or two room homes generally constructed of either wood or adobe. Although many of the people are farmers, the village contains several small specialized stores, a body repair shop for buses, mechanics, plumbers and many other small-town tradesmen. It also has a large open-air market which serves much of the area. Even with all of this, the poverty level is very high and the children are very needy.

Hello! It is my pleasure to share my information in this opportunity. My name is Henry Aron Morales Chivalan. I was born on May 11th, 2021, in Joyabaj, Quiche, Guatemala. This May I turn 4 years old and fortunately, I am a healthy boy. I am not attending school since I am too young. At the moment, I stay at home and I like to play football. My favorite color is red and my favorite animal is the dog. I like to eat steak. I have only one sister. I attend the Zacualpa feeding program and I arrive there in 8 minutes by moto.

My father is Henry Ilarino Morales Estrada. He works in a pizza store and provides for our family. He is in the United States and fortunately, he keeps in touch with us and sends us economic support. My mother is Edelma Morelia Chivalan Urizar. She takes care of the house. My parents and sister are in good health. We live in a rented house and the monthly payment is Q850.00 = $114.00. There are only two room made of blocks with terrace and a granite floor. There is no kitchen, so my mother cooks in the corridor. We have running water and electricity services; my father pays for the bills. We trust in God that we can have our own house one day. We attend Liberty Church from LW. Thank you for being interested in reading my information. Many and abundant blessings over you!

Bunch of hugs,

Henry Aron Morales Chivalan
